The Select Network Name (SSID) Screen

If a connection between the printer and wireless router cannot be created automatically, the Select Network Name (SSID) screen is displayed.

Following the steps below, connect the printer and wireless router.

  1. Select the network name (SSID) of the wireless router to which you want to connect from the Network Name (SSID): list.

  2. Click Next.

    If you don't use encryption type, the following steps are not required.

  3. Enter your wireless router's password in the Password: field.

    Enter the character you want to enter. Character entry is case-sensitive.

    If you are using a WEP connection, also set the WEP Key ID:.

  4. Click Next.

Note

  • Password may be referred to as a Security Key or Passphrase.

  • For information on the default values for you network name (SSID) and password, or how to check the currently set values, refer to the manual that came with your wireless router.

  • SSIDs for the 2.4 GHz band appear for the network name (SSID).
